Exterior Redesign
The strong, sturdy and stylish appearance of the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder starts at the front with a larger design for the new face and larger tires to complement the overall brawnier feel of this SUV that can seat up to eight. A three-slot grille incorporated into the V-motion grille pays homage to the original Pathfinder while the floating roofline lends a sleekness to its overall athletic look. The structural design of the C-pillar allows for the use of two-tone paint for an even more distinctive profile. The 2022 Pathfinder offers a total of 14 colors/color combinations, including five new two-tone treatments.
Engine/Towing Power
The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is powered by a 3.5-liter Direct Injection V6 engine that generates 284-horsepower and 259 lb.-ft. of torque and features a new 9-speed automatic transmission for the smoothest and strongest of rides. The 2022 Pathfinder is available in 2WD and 4WD. A new element in the 4WD models is the Intelligent 4WD with 7-position Drive and Terrain Mode Selector that includes the following settings: Standard, Sport, Eco, Snow, Sand, Mud/Rut and Tow. For your hauling needs, the 2022 Pathfinder offers an available 6,000-pound maximum towing capacity.
Spacious Interior
The modern and open front row is highlighted by the new, available 12.3-inch digital dashboard, a 10.8-inch Head-Up Display, and the available 9.0-inch color touchscreen center display. Thanks to the new electronic shifter, an additional 13.4 liters of storage space is made available underneath the new "bridge" front center console. Overall, the 2022 Pathfinder’s interior offers an additional 10.6 cubic feet more of total interior volume than the previous model.
The inviting and spacious interior of the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder welcomes all of your passengers into a roomy area that can seat up to eight people with the standard second row bench seating. Or opt for the available captain’s chairs with the no-tools-required removable center console for 7-person capacity. The standard EZ FLEX® one-touch seating allows for the 2nd row driver- or passenger-side seat to glide and tilt forward – even with a car seat installed – for easy access to the third row.
For all of your cargo-carrying needs, enjoy the useful 60/40 split-folding 3rd row bench seat for more room when needed. The four-foot wide cargo area allows room for four golf bags, six TSA-sized suitcases or a 120-quart cooler with second and third rows upright. Under the cargo area floor, you’ll gain 54.1 liters of storage with a new easy-to-clean luggage box -- that’s up from 33.3 liters on the previous model.
